Job Description:
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all day to day operations of aseptic puree including but not limited to receiving, storage, processing, packing, food safety, quality & maintenance. Must manage all the human, financial and material resources. This role will provide overall direction and guidance to the operational activities of the facility with the objective of maximizing operational efficiencies and profitability. Assures high production output, high quality product, and wastes reduction, elimination of safety issues and controls overhead/labor costs. Provide day-to-day leadership and management of processing functions to maximize both productivity and profitability while ensuring we exceed food safety requirements and maintain a safe working environment. Perform a variety of management, administrative as well as physical functions to ensure timely and accurate processing. Responsible for the supervision of personnel and operations in the execution of produce receiving and packing functions.Focus Points:
- Provide leadership to Aseptic Manufacturing employees of various levels. Responsibilities include hiring, managing, motivating, coaching, and mentoring.
- Ensure oversight of Aseptic Manufacturing operations across all shifts, including weekend support as needed.
- Makes strategic decisions which prioritize the needs of the customer over departmental/individual goals.
- Skilled in reducing costs and managing timelines while prioritizing long run impact over short term wins.
- Lead routine manufacturing activities, including day to day scheduling and raw materials/consumables management.
- Continuously evaluates existing programs and processes and develops new initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Demonstrates ability to think analytically and synthesize complex information.
- Interface with auditors, including client representatives and regulatory agencies.
- In some instances, these projects may involve novel processing technology requiring advanced capabilities in protocol development, experimental design, data analysis and mathematical modeling.
- Provide technical expertise on establishing aseptic, retort and hot-fill thermal processes in support of innovation, renovation, and technical assistance.
- Coordinate or conduct aseptic microbiological challenge studies and filings, coordinate or conduct acidified microbiological challenge studies and filings, and conduct heat penetrations, temperature distributions, and microbiological challenge studies as warranted.
- This will include risk assessments that integrate ingredients, process, and packaging, as well as microbiological and controls validation and critical control operational requirements.
- Provide technical assistance to factories to enhance technical competency, optimize thermal processes, and resolve issues.
- Support the development and delivery of aseptic processing standards and training to enhance factory-level capabilities.
- Respond well to both formal and informal requests for technical assistance.
- Conduct aseptic filler validations for flexible, semi-rigid, and rigid containers.
- Conduct aseptic product validations.
- Evaluate situations and documentation related to Process Deviations and product release.
- Provide leadership through a hands-on approach for the overall day to day operations of the facilities.
- Build and train a team of members who are driven and understand the key performance indicators and economic engines of the business.
- Implement lean principles to achieve low cost production and high quality through each phase of the production process.
- Support the development of a healthy internal culture that retinas key employees and encourages their professional development.
- Makes innovative and realistic recommendations to Management aimed at improving and optimizing all activities related to the operations of the company. Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biological Sciences, or Chemistry required. 5 years of previous experience using aseptic manufacturing.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
Preferred:
bilingual in Spanish to communicate with majority Spanish speaking workforce. Flexibility to work different shifts and days when required during season Formally trained in PCQI, HACCP, Better Process in Aseptic Technique, Internal Auditor forFSSC Job Type:
