Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily production activities, ensuring that processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role partners closely with Quality, EHS, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Engineering, and site leadership to meet customer requirements and continuously improve plant performance. Responsibilities Safety, Environmental, and Regulatory Leadership
- Lead by example and maintain a visible, proactive safety presence across all production shifts. Ensure compliance with company EHS programs and applicable OSHA, EPA, state, and local requirements.
- Partner with EHS to investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain strong housekeeping, chemical handling, waste management, process safety, and emergency-response practices. Production Execution and Customer Service
- Translate the production plan into safe, achievable shift priorities and allocate labor, equipment, and materials accordingly.
- Deliver schedule attainment, on-time completion, throughput, yield, and inventory objectives while controlling overtime, scrap, rework, and operating cost.
- Monitor daily production performance and company KPI goals.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Warehouse, Quality, and Customer Service to respond to changing priorities, constraints, and customer needs.
- Ensure accurate, timely production reporting and transaction discipline in the ERP or manufacturing system. Quality and Process Control
- Ensure products are manufactured to approved specifications, batch instructions, procedures, and quality-system requirements.
- Reinforce line clearance, material identification, traceability, in-process controls, good manufacturing practices, and nonconforming-product controls.
- Partner with Quality and Technical teams on deviations, customer complaints, change control, trials, validation activities, and corrective actions. People Leadership and Workforce Capability
- Select, onboard, coach, and develop supervisors and production employees; establish clear expectations and provide timely feedback while promoting respectful teamwork, accountability, inclusion, employee engagement, and effective communication between shifts and departments.
- Manage performance and maintain staffing, cross-training, qualification, discipline, and succession plans that support safe coverage across shifts and critical processes adhering to company HR policies. Reliability and Continuous Improvement
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering on preventive maintenance, breakdown response, calibration, utilities, spare parts, and capital priorities.
- Lead structured problem solving and continuous-improvement initiatives using Lean, 5S, standard work, root-cause analysis, and other appropriate methods that improve productivity, reduce waste & energy, and deliver measurable results.
- Support commissioning, process changes, risk assessments, and validation of new or modified equipment and processes.
Leadership Scope and Decision-Making Provides leadership for production operations across all assigned shifts, directly or through Production Supervisors. The role has authority to stop work or production when an unsafe condition, environmental risk, quality concern, or significant equipment issue is identified. Escalates business-critical risks and coordinates cross-functional response. Performance Measures

incident prevention, near-miss and corrective-action closure, training completion, and audit performance.

first pass output, deviations, scrap/rework, complaint reduction, and adherence to specifications.

staffing stability, qualification and cross-training progress, engagement, attendance, and leadership development.

completion and sustained impact of continuous-improvement and cost-reduction initiatives. Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, operations management, business, or a related field; experience in adhesives, chemicals, batch processing, or another regulated process-manufacturing environment.
- At least 7 years of progressive manufacturing experience, including 3 years leading supervisors or multi-shift teams; knowledge of ISO 9001, environmental and occupational safety management systems, GMP principles, and management of change.
- Demonstrated knowledge of production planning, safety leadership, quality systems, employee development, and continuous improvement.
- Working proficiency with ERP or manufacturing systems and Microsoft 365 applications. Ability to analyze operational data, establish priorities, make sound decisions, and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Experience with capital projects, preventive maintenance programs, process validation, and/or industrial automation. Core Competencies

The employee must be able to regularly walk and stand in production areas; use stairs; wear required personal protective equipment; and occasionally bend, reach, or lift and carry up to 25 pounds. The work environment may include temperature variation, industrial noise, moving equipment, chemical odors, and hot process equipment. Work Schedule Primarily a day-shift leadership role with regular presence across operating shifts.
