Job Description

Overview A production Manager will assist in fulfilling the Company's vision of being the area's premier employer in the heavy metal fabrication industry. The Production Manager should embrace the Company's mission, vision, and core values and implement them daily with plant personnel. The Production Manager will be responsible for directing all aspects of the day-to-day management of the manufacturing operations within the department
Responsibilities :
Daily Management of the day shift supervisor, night shift supervisor, and all plant personnel within their department Supporting Company initiatives through communication (departmental meetings) with department personnel Implement and sustain changes generated in continuous improvement events Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and communications Troubleshoot mechanical issues and coordinate with maintenance as needed Maintain inventory levels of materials required for production Implement best practices for safety and compliance within the production environment Foster culture, including ways of working and behaviors that are congruent with our IFACTS values Provide day-to-day coaching and guidance to develop our team to its fullest potential Be a safety role model and exercise strong leadership to focus plant efforts on priorities and continuous improvements in the manufacturing process Drive improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and achieve strategic goals Actively support team members' career paths and coach employees, mentor, and help other team members grow Seeks tools and strategies to help boost productivity for the team Completing reviews and disciplinary write-ups as needed for department personnel, with HR notification and assistance Review Data to reduce inefficiencies and waste A significant portion of the day is spent on the shop floor coaching, mentoring, viewing safety issues, and strengthening company culture within the team.
