Job Description
Omnitek Cable, Inc. is a growing U.S. manufacturer of high-performance cable products serving demanding applications including semiconductor test, RF/microwave, medical, and other advanced technology markets. We are entering an important stage of growth focused on expanding production capability, adding significant new equipment, developing new products and processes, and building the team. Role Summary We are looking for a hands‑on, technically strong Plant Manager who leads from the production floor, not just the office. This role demands someone who sees the next move, builds the plan, rallies the team, and executes with urgency. You'll learn our products and customer applications deeply, then use that knowledge to make smart operational decisions. Key Responsibilities Run the Operation — Own safety, quality, manufacturing, supply chain. Scale for Growth — Turn business goals into real capacity: equipment, people, training, and processes. Strengthen Systems — Level up ISO programs, preventive maintenance, production controls, and ERP discipline. Master the Tech — Learn our products, equipment, testing, and customer requirements. Lead from the Floor — Work directly with teams to spot issues and drive improvements. Expand & Ramp — Lead installation, qualification, and ramp‑up of new manufacturing equipment. Build the Team — Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a workforce ready for future demands. Drive Culture — Set priorities, enforce accountability, and create proactive, problem‑solving environment. Collaborate — Partner tightly with product development, business development, and owners. Education & Experience 10+ years leading manufacturing sites with proven results in people leadership and operational performance. Industry background in precision electronics, semiconductor, RF/microwave, or other complex manufacturing Cable & wire industry experience is a major plus. Leadership of ISO quality and safety programs in highly-regulated manufacturing environments. Skilled in ERP systems, planning/scheduling tools, and operational software. Demonstrated success in capacity planning, staffing, production scale‑up, and NPI. Behavioral Traits Ownership mindset, clear communicator, decisive leader. Practical problem solver, moves seamlessly between strategy and hands‑on execution. Technically curious, fast learner. Knows how to motivate staff in start-up, high-growth environments. Location On-site position at our Sherwood, OR facility. About Us Omnitek Cable, Inc. was created by several Microwave experts, with over 100 years of combined experience and well over 65 patents in microwave cable and cable assemblies, coaxial connectors, and microwave components.
