What to Expect

Tesla is recruiting for an experienced Production Control (PC), Sr. Manager to join our Megafactory Team and manage day-to-day operations in Brookshire, TX. The successful candidate will oversee inbound material flow (dock-to-line), outbound finished goods flow (line-to-yard), warehousing and conveyance equipment, delivery operations, inventory control, and trailer yard operations. The PC Manager will lead a team of supervisors and managers across multiple shifts at a 24/7 facility in Texas. In this role, the PC Manager works together with Production, Engineering and Planning as well as NPI, inbound and outbound Logistics and the downstream customers to ensure overall success of Tesla. What You'll Do

Manage daily operations of material flow to the line, and finished goods outbound to the customers

Govern, and ensure core KPI targets are met in Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Delivery

Ensure on-time delivery of parts and material to the manufacturing lines

Manage warehouse inventory to optimal levels and drive continuous improvement

Lead efforts to optimize space and manpower, while ensuring downstream customer satisfaction

Strictly manage material flow processes to sustain system accuracy of inventory

Build a motivated team capable of consistently delivering high quality results

Coach and mentor Engineering, Supervisors and Managers to prepare them for the next level

Improve capacity and reliability of material delivery and flow systems across the siteLead and develop technical team including techs and engineers for the purposes of maintaining fixed/mobile conveyance, rack/returnable fleets, local PIT and semi truck production control equipment What You'll Bring

9+ years in a Material Handling, Production Control and/or Warehouse Distribution in a leadership role

Engineering Degree, or equivalent experience

Experience in Warehouse Management, Inventory Management, internal conveyance, and yard flow

Experience working cross-functionally with Production, Finance, Global Supply Chain and Logistics

Ability to maintain a safe work environment by establishing and enforcing operational standards and procedures

Thorough knowledge of the Tesla Manufacturing processes and procedures

Proven ability to effectively lead and mentor people to achieve great things

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and proven ability to deploy lean concepts

Flexible mindset to change, create or adapt to new processes

Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills with effective strength in MS Office apps for data analysis and presentation
