Job Description

The
QUIKRETE
® Companies, the largest manufacturer of packaged concrete products in the US and an innovative leader in the commercial building, home improvement products, & DOT industries is seeking a self-motivated, proactive Production Manager for our Columbus, TX plant.
Responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for the supervision of a 40-person crew across 3 production shifts
  • Ensuring products are manufactured to company standards and meet all quality control requirements
  • Scheduling production in an efficient manner while ensuring that inventory levels are appropriate to meet customer requirements
  • Reviewing daily production reports to ensure accurate data entry
  • Establishing and maintaining an accident-free workplace culture
  • Ensuring that plant machinery & equipment follows established company, OSHA/ EPA policies & requirements, and notifying Maintenance team when non-compliant issues are discovered
  • Maintaining an organized and clean warehouse
  • Other duties as assigned by
Plant Manager Qualifications:
  • Supervisory/management experience required
  • Longevity in a building-products or an industrial-manufacturing background is preferred
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) communication skills are preferred
  • Must have a mechanical aptitude and be capable of communicating with maintenance personnel
  • Must be able to build, maintain, and lead a collaborative environment
  • Must be able to monitor and manage adequate inventory controls
  • Must have strong analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Must have good communication skills and work well with customers and other Quikrete team members Relocation will not be provided for this position.
