Additional information about the company can be found at WhirlpoolCorp.com. ## The team you will be a part of The Operations/Production team plans, directs and monitors all production activities within an assigned area or unit to maximize the use of the organization's resources and meet established production specifications, schedules and quality standards. Liaise with functional or operational area managers to understand their current and future product needs and develop plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing manufacturing activities. ## This role in summary Leads the plant operations, with emphasis on management of the direct labor workforce, to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost (SQDC) objectives. Utilizes data and management systems to continuously improve results. ## Your responsibilities will include
  • Manage operator performance through a management system utilizing Digital Dashboard data, enforced through a Leader Standard Work process.
  • Define and enforce supervision standards for safety, quality, delivery and cost performance objectives
  • Assesses staffing levels and determines needs vs. current staffing levels to achieve S&OP production plan.
  • Works closely with manufacturing engineering on development and implementation of major process changes, quality improvements, production standards and productivity improvements.
  • Determines and implements manufacturing organizational policies. Directs and supervises the application of such policies to the plant's manufacturing operations.
  • Participate in S&OP production planning process to load factory to achieve sales and inventory plans
  • Lead communications to workforce via Toolbox meetings, Pulse, newsletter, etc.
  • Addresses employee relations issues with supervisor team and HR
  • Participate in the development of engagement activities for hourly teams
  • Support and participate in Area Lead and Production Tech development programs; identify opportunities for improvement
  • Work through Section Managers and Supervisors to deploy the management system and Leader Standard Work; drive adherence ## Minimum requirements
  • B.S. in Management, Business or related area and ten years related experience, including eight years of operations management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams with strong communications; ability to resolve conflicts while driving adherence to performance standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface and communicate with employees at various levels of the organization (i.e., executive management, engineering, hourly employees, etc.)
  • Strong orientation toward Safety, Quality, Cost, and Continuous Improvement ## Preferred skills and experiences
