is seeking an experienced and dependable Powder Coating Supervisor to lead powder coating operations and ensure safe, efficient, high-quality production. The ideal candidate has hands-on powder coating experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate people, equipment, materials, and production schedules. This position will be responsible for supervising the powder coating team, maintaining quality standards, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring that all work is completed safely and efficiently. The supervisor will help drive consistent results by monitoring daily operations, supporting team performance, and promoting a safe, organized work environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise, train, and support powder coating employees. Coordinate daily production activities to meet quality, efficiency, and delivery goals. Oversee the complete powder coating process, including part preparation, cleaning/pre-treatment, masking, hanging, powder application, curing, inspection, and packaging. Monitor coating quality, film thickness, color consistency, adhesion, and overall finish. Adjust and troubleshoot powder coating equipment, spray systems, ovens, and related production equipment. Identify and correct defects such as poor coverage, orange peel, contamination, fisheyes, runs, thin coating, and improper curing. Monitor production schedules and staffing levels and make adjustments as needed. Ensure proper powder usage and minimize waste and rework. Maintain accurate production, quality, and material records. Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area. Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, Production, and Shipping departments to resolve issues and maintain workflow. Perform routine inspections of equipment and coordinate maintenance when necessary. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, and cost reduction. Address employee performance, attendance, and training needs in accordance with company policies. Qualifications & Skills 3+ years of experience in powder coating or industrial finishing. Previous supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Strong knowledge of powder coating processes and equipment. Ability to troubleshoot coating defects and production problems. Understanding of curing temperatures, coating thickness, surface preparation, and powder application. Ability to read production schedules, work instructions, and basic technical documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to safely lift and move materials as required.
