SKY Staff is currently seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant to the Production Supervisor to join our team! Job Summary The Assistant to the Production Supervisor will support daily production operations and assist with coordinating shift activities. This position will work closely with the Production Supervisor to help maintain an efficient workflow while ensuring employees follow company safety, quality, and production standards. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and interested in developing their leadership skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Job Duties Assist the Production Supervisor with daily production activities during assigned shifts. Help coordinate employee assignments and communicate daily production goals. Monitor production workflow and report issues to the Production Supervisor. Help ensure products are properly identified, weighed, labeled, and moved to the warehouse. Assist in identifying production or equipment issues and communicate them to the appropriate department. Notify the Maintenance Department when equipment requires attention or repair. Promote a safe work environment by encouraging compliance with company safety policies and procedures. Assist with verifying that production paperwork is complete, accurate, and properly signed. Support the training and onboarding of new production employees as directed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Assist the Production Supervisor with training and supporting production employees on the assigned shift. Help coordinate daily workflow and employee assignments to help meet production goals. Provide feedback to the Production Supervisor regarding employee performance and development. Serve as a positive example for employees and help promote teamwork, accountability, and productivity. Skills & Experience Basic understanding of production operations or the ability to quickly learn manufacturing processes and equipment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced production environment. Ability to identify and communicate production issues appropriately. Willingness to learn leadership skills and take on additional responsibilities. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to complete reports and production paperwork accurately. Previous leadership, production, manufacturing, or supervisory experience is a plus. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Exceptional prior work experience with the company is preferred. Physical Requirements Must be able to walk and move throughout the production facility. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time . Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
