This role is essential in ensuring that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of food industry regulations, and a commitment to continuous improvement. As a supervisor on the second shift, you will oversee daily manufacturing activities, manage team performance, and uphold our commitment to food safety and quality assurance. Duties Supervise and coordinate production activities during the second shift to meet daily production goals while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and other regulatory standards governing food processing. Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead production employees across assigned shifts. Monitor production lines, equipment, processing, filling, packaging, and retort operations. Ensure products are manufactured according to approved formulas, specifications, and SOPs. Enforce GMP, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements. Train employees on SOPs, GMP, safety procedures, and equipment operation. Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and manufacturing efficiency. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment. Support audits and regulatory inspections as needed. Experience Proven experience in food production or manufacturing management within a food processing plant environment. Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, CGMP guidelines, and food safety management systems. Demonstrated ability to manage production or assembly teams effectively while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Familiarity with SAP or comparable enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems used in manufacturing settings. Experience implementing sanitation procedures and ensuring compliance with safety standards in a food processing environment. Background in managing packaging operations within the food & beverage industry. Excellent managerial communication skills with an emphasis on team leadership, problem-solving, and operational oversight. Prior experience working within regulated environments emphasizing food safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
