DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Multitask by splitting time between taking a hands-on approach with in-depth knowledge and experience while also overseeing day-to-day operations with respect to product quality and on-time delivery Provide clear and concise directions to follow jobs through verbal and visual instructions Train, coach, and mentor a small group of lesser experienced Assemblers on every step of the process Follow the department dispatch to prioritize jobs to meet scheduled Turn in weekly order sheets of consumables for Assembly department into purchasing Coordinates with other departments for jobs which requires parts Keep production control informed of any issues or concerns which may lead to a job leaving the department past the operation completion dates. Adheres to all company and departmental policies and procedures. Maintain customer and MASS Precision's Quality requirements. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Contributes to the department's team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
5+ years of direct hands-on experience 3+ year of management/supervisory experience Able to read and understand drawings, schematics, and blueprints High school degree or equivalent Reading /understanding drawings, schematics, and blueprints: 5 years (Required) Operating machinery and utilizing various equipment/tools: 5+ years (Required)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Motivated, self-starter with stronger leadership skills, all-around team player Ability to multitask and stay focused on the task at hand as necessary Strong attention to detail, highly organized, effective time management skills Good manual dexterity, able to set up and operate machinery, and utilize various machinery/tools Patient, instructive, and possess excellent communication skills Must be fluent and able to communicate in English/Spanish Superb analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills Ability to commit to a flexible schedule and prompt arrival to scheduled shifts. Ability to follow verbal instructions. Good interpersonal and communication skills; team mentality with the ability to motivate. Ability to be cross trained in other departments to help with unexpectedly high demands. Required to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Required to wear PPE when in production area.
HOURS / SHIFTS
First Shift:
5am-1:30pm
M-F Second Shift:
1:30pm-10pm
M-F SALARY DOE BENEFITS
