Duties:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop floor employees
• Ensure production targets are met and quality standards are maintained
• Monitor and enforce safety regulations and procedures
• Train and develop shop floor staff
• Schedule and assign work to employees based on production needs
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain inventory levels and order necessary materials
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Skills:

• Proficient in the use of calipers for accurate measurements
• Follow established set-up and programming procedures for all machine shop operations.
• Be familiar with the proper operation of standard machine shop equipment, especially sophisticated CNC machines
• Familiarity with tooling and press brake machines for metal fabrication
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings
• Experience with Fanuc systems for CNC machines is a plus
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues
