Job Description

Job Summary Company is seeking an experienced Pack Department Supervisor to oversee daily fruit packing operations. Under the direction of the Plant Manager, this position supervises employees, coordinates workflow and staffing, monitors production, and ensures quality, safety, food safety, and customer requirements are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise Pack Department employees and assign daily work priorities. Monitor staffing, workflow, production levels, and packing-line operations. Ensure fruit is packed according to grade, size, color, labeling, container, and Company quality requirements. Train and coach employees on grading, packing procedures, quality control, safety, and Company policies. Coordinate with Shipping, Storage, Maintenance, Quality Control, and management to meet production and customer demands. Resolve grading and specification discrepancies using Clarifruit. Monitor packing, grading, and labeling equipment and request necessary repairs or adjustments. Review timesheets, production records, safety documents, and quality records for accuracy. Conduct safety inspections, tailgate meetings, and incident follow-ups. Address employee performance, attendance, conduct, and workplace concerns in partnership with management. Maintain compliance with food safety, food security, OSHA standards, and Company policies. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. At least three years of experience in citrus packing or a similar production environment. Previous supervisory or lead experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish required. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office or similar programs. Forklift Operator Certification preferred. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Physical and Work Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs or ladders as needed. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work around machinery, production noise, and varying temperatures. Combination of production-floor and office work.
Pay:
$22.00 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
