FAA/DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Requirement Regional Avionics Repair, LLC is regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). Accordingly, employees in applicable positions are subject to mandated pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing. The ability to qualify under applicable FAA and DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements is a condition of employment.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Regional Avionics Shop Supervisor (Inspector) to provide leadership and daily operational oversight within our Title 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Station. This is a key leadership position responsible for maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, regulatory compliance, and customer service. The Shop Supervisor coordinates and prioritizes production activities, supervises technical personnel, supports efficient workflow, and ensures aircraft articles and components are properly maintained and eligible for return to service within established turnaround-time requirements. The position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, effective communication, organizational ability, and a sense of urgency while ensuring all work is performed in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, the Repair Station Manual (RSM), Quality Control Manual (QCM), approved and current technical data, company procedures and policies, and applicable customer requirements.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Shop Supervisor directly supervises leads and maintenance personnel within the Production Department.
Supervisory responsibilities include:
Providing daily direction, leadership, and oversight to production and maintenance personnel. Scheduling and coordinating personnel and production activities. Establishing and communicating priorities based on safety, quality, customer requirements, available resources, and turnaround-time objectives. Evaluating employee performance and providing coaching and feedback. Supporting employee development, training, and qualification. Maintaining employee accountability and addressing performance issues in accordance with company policies. Promoting a positive, professional, and safety-focused work environment. Coordinating work between Production, Quality Control, Maintenance Support, Materials, and Shipping. Identifying operational problems and recommending corrective or process improvements. The Shop Supervisor is responsible for maintaining an effective balance between safety, quality, regulatory compliance, production requirements, and established turnaround times.

INSPECTOR
In addition to the primary responsibilities of Shop Supervisor, the employee may be authorized to perform Inspector duties when properly qualified, trained, and assigned. When performing Inspector duties, the employee: Reports functionally to the Chief Inspector. Performs inspection functions independently and in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, the RSM, QCM, approved and current technical data, inspection procedures, and company requirements. Exercises independent inspection judgment. Shall not approve, accept, or release an aircraft article solely to meet production schedules, customer requirements, or turnaround-time objectives. Shall make inspection determinations based on applicable regulatory requirements, approved technical data, company procedures, and the condition of the article. When acting in the capacity of Shop Supervisor, the employee shall not use supervisory authority to direct, influence, or override an inspection determination made by an authorized Inspector or the Chief Inspector. This separation of responsibilities is intended to maintain the independence and integrity of the inspection function.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SHOP SUPERVISOR
The Shop Supervisor is responsible to the Maintenance Manager for the effective operation of assigned production activities.
Essential responsibilities include:
Production & Maintenance Operations Coordinate and prioritize daily production and maintenance activities. Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, RSM, QCM, approved technical data, company procedures, and customer requirements. Ensure aircraft articles and components are properly maintained and processed within specified turnaround times. Work at the bench as a Technician when needed and qualified. Identify problems affecting daily Repair Station operations and report recommendations for procedures, processes, or workflow improvements. Provide supervision, evaluation, scheduling, motivation, coaching, and disciplinary support for technical personnel. Coordinate production activities with Lead Technicians and other applicable personnel. Personnel Qualification & Training Qualify and train non-certificated technical personnel to perform individual tasks under the supervision of a Lead Technician. Ensure assigned personnel receive appropriate training and task instruction. Complete required company and FAA-related training, including MyFAA, as applicable. Promote employee development, accountability, teamwork, and a positive work environment. Documentation & Records Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all performed maintenance in accordance with company procedures. Ensure required maintenance documentation is completed accurately and timely. Identify and communicate required time-card corrections to maintenance personnel. Maintain required operational records in accordance with company procedures. Tools, Equipment & Materials Maintain special tools and test equipment in good condition and report discrepancies to the Maintenance Manager. Ensure required tools and cleaning supplies are available and properly controlled. Request parts and materials as needed to support production. Ensure proper handling and protection of maintenance-related equipment and materials. Maintain responsibility for ESD protection within the Production area. Shelf-Life Materials & Scrap Ensure the collection of expired or spent shelf-life-sensitive materials. Coordinate disposition of shelf-life-sensitive materials with the Materials Manager. Implement and maintain the company scrap program in accordance with established procedures. Parts, Sub-Assemblies & Incoming Units Ensure proper tagging and protection of all sub-assemblies removed during maintenance. Coordinate and communicate with Shipping regarding incoming units. Coordinate with Maintenance Support Advisors regarding customer inquiries and operational requirements. Safety & Work Environment Promote a safe, professional, and efficient work environment. Maintain the good morale necessary for safe and effective operations. Identify and report potentially unsafe conditions. Perform all assigned duties in accordance with applicable safety and security requirements.

INSPECTOR
When qualified and assigned to perform Inspector duties, responsibilities include: Conduct preliminary, in-process, and final inspections. Conduct receiving inspections as required. Record accurate inspection results in all applicable inspection areas. Ensure inspection forms and documentation are accurate, complete, and appropriately filed. Perform maintenance release of aircraft articles when authorized. Use and properly complete applicable inspection checklists. File and retrieve maintenance and inspection records when required. Check calibration tags on equipment and tools used during inspections. Ensure proper use of alternate Test and Tooling Equipment (TTE) by maintenance personnel, as applicable. Verify the publication control page before using technical publications for inspections. Report service difficulties and Suspected Unapproved Parts (SUP) matters to the Chief Inspector. Maintain the independence and integrity of inspection determinations. Perform other inspection duties as assigned within the individual's qualifications and authorizations.

The successful candidate must:
Demonstrate knowledge of company manuals, policies, and procedures. Demonstrate working knowledge of standard shop and/or ramp test equipment. Be able to interpret maintenance requirements and translate them into appropriate maintenance tasks. Be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, technical procedures, and related documentation. Have demonstrated experience supervising and qualifying technical personnel. Possess strong communication, organizational, scheduling, and leadership skills. Demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to make decisions in a safety- and quality-critical environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
All Regional Avionics Repair, LLC personnel employed as technicians are required to possess one of the following: Associate's degree in Electronics; Electronics Technician Certificate; or Equivalent military training and experience that is verifiable and acceptable to Regional Avionics Repair, LLC. All Regional Avionics Repair, LLC personnel employed as technicians are required to possess an:
FCC GROL
— General Radio Operator License. Qualification Transition Requirement Effective January 1, 2026, personnel hired as technicians who do not initially possess the required qualifications may work toward obtaining the required qualifications. Required qualifications must be completed no later than 12 months following the employee's date of hire as a condition of employment. Personnel hired after January 1, 2026 who do not meet the qualification standard within the required 12-month period will be subject to termination of employment in accordance with company policy.
