Job Summary We are currently looking for a Plant Superintendent The ideal candidate for this position possesses considerable experience in food manufacturing and production operations, and the project management skills to successfully prioritize, organize, and execute key deliverables aligned with team and organizational goals. As Plant Superintendent, you will supervise the Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse Departments. You will directly supervise the Production Supervisor, Production Leads, and Production Operators in these Work Centers, and provide oversight and support to the Warehouse and Maintenance Departments. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and assign labor to complete production schedules efficiently, including establishing and adjusting work crews and departments to meet production schedules and maintain time and production records.
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Production Department, with an emphasis on continuous improvement, recommending measures to improve methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
  • Reduce product loss and implement changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency
  • Develop team members through frequent observation and interaction, providing both informal and formal feedback and assessment
  • Serve as a member of a food safety team, drawing from your experience in food manufacturing, SQF, and GMPs
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, and assist workers in solving work problems
  • Initiate and suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
  • Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations and good manufacturing practices
  • Collaborate with other Supervisors and/or Managers to coordinate activities of individual departments
  • Back Up SQF Practitioner.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or food science (or equivalent) or related experience
  • 8+ years of experience as a Production Supervisor or Production Manager
  • Experience with Global Food Safety Initiatives such as SQF, BRC, or AIB
  • PCQI (Preventive Control Qualified Individual) Certification (preferred)
  • Proven Track record of Project management, from strategy to execution.
  • Experience with statistical process controls
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex technical reports and to write professionally to customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to small and large audiences. (Bilingual Spanish/English preferred)
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and to draw and interpret charts and bar graphs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and conduct root cause analysis in resolving intricate issues and problems.
  • Basic knowledge of GSuite, Excel, and project management software, including
NetSuite Other Requirements:

Work Environment Cache Creek Foods is a plant-based ingredients manufacturing facility located in Woodland, California. Similar to all food manufacturing plants, employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, heat from equipment, airborne particles, and cold temperature environments. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud.
Pay:
$120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
