All products are engineered, fabricated, and assembled in-house and shipped worldwide. We design and manufacture large, custom-fabricated steel systems requiring precision welding, fitting, and assembly. The work requires strong welding and fabrication knowledge, dimensional accuracy, safe material handling, and consistent quality. We are looking for an experienced Welding Team Lead / Fabrication Supervisor to lead a team of approximately 4-6 welders and fitters . This is a hands-on shop-floor leadership position — not a behind-the-desk supervisory role. Must already have supervisory experience in a welding or fabrication environment , extensive welding and steel fabrication knowledge, strong blueprint-reading skills, and significant experience safely handling large and heavy assemblies with overhead cranes . What You Will Do Lead and supervise a team of 4-6 welders and fitters Assign daily work, set priorities, and keep production moving Work hands-on with the team when needed Read and interpret production drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and weld symbols Coordinate fitting, welding, assembly, and material handling Check dimensions, fit-up, weld quality, and overall workmanship Identify problems early and correct them before they become rework Safely coordinate and perform lifts of large, heavy steel assemblies using overhead cranes and rigging Train, support, and hold team members accountable while maintaining a professional work environment Required Qualifications Previous supervisory or team-lead experience in a welding or fabrication environment Extensive professional MIG welding and steel fabrication experience Strong ability to read and work from production and fabrication drawings Experience with large custom steel fabrication Strong knowledge of fitting, welding, tolerances, alignment, and fabrication quality Experience with overhead bridge or jib cranes, rigging, load balance, and heavy material handling Strong practical problem-solving skills and shop-floor judgment Ability to organize people, communicate clearly, and lead a productive team Ability and willingness to work overtime as required, including evenings and weekends when necessary Work Environment Full-time, in-person fabrication shop position Hot, noisy, and non-climate-controlled environment Physically active work requiring standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working around large steel assemblies Must be comfortable working safely around welding equipment, machinery, forklifts, and overhead cranes
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
