Full Job Description Job Purpose:
Reviews production orders and ensures that production schedules are met. Organizes assigned work, supervise, and assists employees in daily work performance. Anticipates production and personnel problems and resolves problems to minimize their effect on production. Maintains good housekeeping and enforces safe work practices. This position will work with the GM to build the 2nd shift
Supervisor Responsibilities:

High school graduate or equivalent 5•10 years of industry or relative experience Minimum of 2 years of management experience Hazwopper training and forklift license CEF preferred Hazardous waste training preferred Hands on, factory type floor management
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the production schedule, including setting work schedules, and hiring employees to meet production goals Develop training schedules for new employees and evaluate the performance of workers, including directing employees in appropriate positions to increase productivity Maintain records for employees in the department, such as attendance and performance evaluations Implement continuous improvement activities, such as quality improvement teams to reduce scrap and increase productivity Develop, maintain, and adjust job routers Conduct and distribute disciplinary actions to employees Prepare production, safety, and other reports for upper management staff Establish the objective & goals of the assigned department to enhance the production of the business and accomplish the targets Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required Skills:
A manager must have leadership skills to direct employees toward production goals Good organizational skills and the ability to give clear instructions Familiarity with plating specs and company spec library Working knowledge of our plating process characteristics and limitations Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings Ability to interact with customers and co-workers in a professional manner Written and verbal communication skills are also necessary for the successful manufacturing manager Must be familiar with the methods of production used in the department including machinery Able to motivate, influence, and train people Having a good eye for details to keep a check on all activities of the organization Good communicator, team player, active listener, and possess strong decision-making skills Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations Often wet or humid due to heated cleaning and plating tanks containing caustic and acidic solutions Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and heat Noise level is high (Hearing protection is required in the plant) Required safety equipment•as needed when on the shop floor Computer and standard office equipment Ability to maintain a regular and reliable attendance record Ability to manage multiple jobs at the same time Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language Ability to work independently without supervision Ability to maintain a regular and reliable attendance record Ability to manage multiple jobs at the same time Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language Ability to work independently without supervision
Working Conditions:
Occasional exposure to shop elements, such as noise, dust, odors and fumes Often wet or humid due to heated cleaning and plating tanks containing caustic and acidic solutions Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and heat Noise level is high (Hearing protection is required in the plant) Required safety equipment•as needed when on the shop floor Computer and standard office equipment Dress code: Steel toed boots, long pants, t-shirt, nothing offensive, no holes, rips, or tears
