Job Description

Job Summary The Co‑Foreman supports the Foreman in leading a high‑performing crew and ensuring all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. This role coordinates daily tasks, assists with project planning, and provides hands‑on leadership to maintain productivity, quality, and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Assist the Foreman in supervising, mentoring, and motivating a crew of two or more team members. Review job specifications and prepare required materials, tools, and equipment before arriving on site. Assess jobsite conditions and establish a clear plan of action, including task sequencing and crew assignments. Install company products and services according to established methods, standards, and timelines. Troubleshoot jobsite challenges and adapt plans as needed to meet project requirements. Communicate with customers before, during, and after the job; address changes prior to implementation. Complete all required documentation, check‑in/check‑out procedures, and job completion paperwork accurately. Safely load, unload, maintain, and clean tools, materials, and equipment; ensure truck cleanliness and organization. Drive company vehicles safely and maintain eligibility to operate company equipment. Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating daily work, including labor hours and productivity tracking. Perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, working in confined spaces, and standing/walking for extended periods. Foster a positive, respectful team environment built on trust, professionalism, and integrity. Uphold all company policies, including safety standards and workplace conduct expectations. Represent Groundworks professionally within the community. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required. Experience leading crews or small teams required. Previous construction, home services, trade work, or general labor experience required. Basic construction or mechanical knowledge. Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and support team members. Valid, non‑restrictive driver's license. Ability to enter crawl spaces, basements, and other confined areas. Working Conditions Regularly lifts heavy objects up to 50 lbs and performs strenuous physical labor. Requires extended periods of standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials. Requires strong manual dexterity, multi‑limb coordination, and physical stamina. Ability to read and interpret reports, data, and information on computer screens. Work may occur in adverse weather conditions or challenging environments. Additional Expectations Maintain excellent care of all products, tools, and equipment. Promote a safe, inclusive, and productive workplace. Follow all management instructions and company policies.
