Job Overview Jonas Corporation, a plastics manufacturing firm, is seeking a self-driven and energetic Production Supervisor to join our highly dynamic operation at our Savannah, Georgia facility! As a Production Supervisor, you will be a key leader on our manufacturing operations team, responsible for ensuring manufacturing quotas are met in a timely manner while observing the highest standards of safety and quality. In addition, our Production Supervisors work closely with other functional departments to maintain a clean work environment and improve our production processes. Responsibilities Directly responsible for production team performance regarding output and quality. Delegate production team responsibilities and shop floor assignments. Coach and train production team members on manufacturing processes and standards. Maintain records of production output, equipment downtime, and product quality. Startup, shutdown, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment as necessary. Promptly escalate issues during manufacturing to the appropriate function. Promote a culture of safety, environmental awareness, good housekeeping, and 6S. Other shop floor related duties and responsibilities may be required as necessary. Requirements High school diploma or GED is required. 2+ years in supervisory role within a technical manufacturing / warehouse setting or associates degree in an engineering, management, or other related field is preferred. 1+ year of forklift experience or forklift certification is preferred. Plastics manufacturing experience is a plus. Must lead by example with a positive, respectful attitude while communicating clearly with direct reports and management. Must be able to complete tasks that require pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, and occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs. Must be comfortable working in an indoor manufacturing environment with exposure to various elements of heat, cold, noise, and dust.
