The successful candidate will oversee daily manufacturing activities, ensuring that production processes adhere to strict quality standards, safety regulations, and regulatory compliance. This leadership role involves managing a team of production associates, coordinating workflow, and maintaining continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and product quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong managerial communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and a thorough understanding of food safety management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of production team members during the third shift to meet daily production goals Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and other safety standards in production Monitor adherence to quality standards in food processing and packaging to guarantee product consistency and safety Lead sanitation efforts and ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed to maintain a clean work environment Utilize SAP or similar manufacturing management systems for tracking production data, inventory, and quality documentation Enforce safety protocols, including forklift operation and mechanical troubleshooting when necessary Facilitate communication between team members and management to resolve issues promptly and efficiently Duties Oversee daily food processing operations, ensuring all activities comply with food safety laws and quality assurance standards Manage team schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to promote productivity and accountability Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and work areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards Implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and enhancing product quality Ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed throughout the production process to meet industry standards Train new team members on GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP protocols, and safety procedures Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions Maintain accurate documentation related to production processes, safety audits, and regulatory compliance Support management in achieving operational goals through effective leadership and problem-solving skills Qualifications Proven experience in food processing plant operations or manufacturing management within the food & beverage industry Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, CGMP standards, and food safety management systems Familiarity with SAP or comparable manufacturing management software Strong understanding of quality standards in production environments with a focus on food safety Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Experience managing production or assembly teams in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for data analysis, inventory control, and process calculations Excellent managerial communication skills for effective team leadership and cross-department collaboration Ability to uphold safety standards in production while fostering a culture of continuous improvement If you are committed to maintaining high-quality standards in food processing while leading a motivated team during third shift hours, we encourage you to apply.
