Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Machine Shop Supervisor to lead our manufacturing operations with energy and precision. In this role, you will oversee daily machining activities, coordinate a team of skilled machinists, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise in CNC machining, manual machining, and mechanical blueprint interpretation will drive efficiency and excellence across all projects. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate machine shop operations, ensuring timely completion of manufacturing orders Lead setup, calibration, and operation of CNC lathes, milling machines, grinders, and manual machining tools Oversee machine programming using CNC G-code programming, CAM programming, and SolidWorks for complex parts Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to guide machining processes Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measurement instruments for quality control Train and mentor team members on proper machine setup, tooling selection, measurement techniques, and safety procedures Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, inspection reports, and equipment maintenance schedules Qualifications Proven experience in CNC machining, manual machining, and metal fabrication with a strong mechanical knowledge base Proficiency in CNC G-code programming, CAM software, SolidWorks, CAD design tools, and blueprint reading Skilled in operating machining tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and tooling management Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints accurately and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards Strong understanding of measurement techniques for quality control in precision machining environments Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively while maintaining safety standards Basic math skills for calculations related to machining dimensions and tolerances Knowledge of M-code commands used in CNC programming for machine control functions Familiarity with assembly processes related to machined components is a plus Join us to lead a high-performing machine shop where innovation meets precision!
