A motivated candidate who will be a great asset for our client in the plastic molded industry located in Elgin IL . The Supervisor directs and coordinates activities concerned with production of the Molding Department through direct contact with subordinate personnel. This position is considered a working, hands-on technical position. Pay is commensurate with the experience required for the job.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITITES
Accountable for the performance, training and equipping of all machine operators. Oversee the operations of all machines Responsible to enforce all disciplinary actions Responsible for the performance of all injection molding machines including: startup, troubleshooting, diagnosing, or repair of machines Coordinate production, distribution, and warehousing in accordance with principles and procedures Confer with other management personnel to establish production and quality control standards. Obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications and production completion for production items scheduled Assist in the development of procedures for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees Confer with other shift supervisors and lead supervisor to coordinate activities of individual shifts and with other departments Requisition tooling repairs and changeovers as needed Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance and operation reports to determine causes of non-conformity with product specifications or operating or production problems. Revise production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure, operating problems or a change in production priorities; assist other employees in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment Compile , store and retrieve production data Perform or assist with mold setups , material handling or quality control duties as needed; fulfill responsibilities of subordinate personnel in their absence Continually teach and enforce safety rules Prepare subordinate's reviews in coordination with the Director of Manufacturing May be required to fulfill certain responsibilities of the Director of Manufacturing during absences or other times of need Change in shift assignment on a temporary basis, as needed, is at management discretion; other duties as assigned by the Director of Manufacturing
GENERAL REQUIRENMENTS
Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Follow rules and principals of OSHA; participate in OSHA compliance and training as required, needed or assigned. Perform all job requirements and interdepartmental functions in accordance with ISO procedures; assist in ISO procedural changes and training as required, needed or assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
: High School Diploma, GED, or 12 years formal education is required-able to be overridden at Executive Management discretion.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
3 years experience in Injection Molding and troubleshooting. 3 years of supervisory experience. Must be computer knowledgeable.
