Job Description
Objectives of this roleSustained leadership development in Production Operations.
Sustained Employee and Food Safety culture.
Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration.
Set strategic goals for operational efficiency resulting in high Quality, Food Safety, Employee Engagement and increased productivity.
Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary.
Work closely with Engineering in development of capital expenditure plans/projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide Leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the production facilities.Work closely with the Safety Manager to ensure that Silva safety programs are being followed and reenforced to ensure that all departmental personnel are complying with safety polices to provide a safe workplace for Silva employees, contractors, and visitors.
Work closely with the Superintendents, Supervisors, and Scheduling Team to review production schedules for all production rooms to insure that order requirements are met while maintaining the highest Quality and efficiency possible.
Identify production constraints and work to remove them from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity.
Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment.
Monitor and report daily production rates and schedule attainment.
Work closely with the Food Safety and Quality department to review product quality, consistency and to confirm adherence to specification.
Work closely with the Maintenance department to schedule PM (preventative maintenance) time, process improvement, and identification of equipment requiring immediate attention.
Provide coaching and guidance to all Production operations employees.
Conduct performance reviews.
Support Supervisors in the review and issuance of employee disciplinary notices to production staff.
Work with Production team, Facility Maintenance, and Food Safety and Quality team to maintain production facility to audit ready standardsCollaborate with HR team on personnel, training, performance management, investigations, and employee relations.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Fluent in English and Spanish.Bachelors degree in business or related field is preferred.10 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment and applicable business and management experience.
Strong informal leadership skills.
Strong Servant leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Able to work irregular or extended hours as needed to connect with staff on all shifts.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Lifting up to 50 lbs. as a single person liftClimbing (ladders, stairs, etc.)Bending and stoopingExtended periods of being on your feetThis is a full-time, salary exempt position (expected pay range = $110,000-$150,000/year; job offer to be commensurate with candidate experience) with benefits package that includes paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k retirement plan with generous employer match, employee assistance program, employer gift-matching program, and wellness program.
