Job Description

Job purpose A production supervisor is responsible for developing quality manufacturing associates (qmas) and directing their job assignments. A production supervisor will also provide technical hands on leadership to the production staff. Must also convey a professional attitude towards all employees while recognizing the responsibility to meet production schedules. Duties and responsibilities Safely perform assigned tasks completely and efficiently. Comply with department policies, procedures and work instructions including the TASUS Quality Management System Understand and ensure team is following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Handle performance, disciplinary and attendance issues. Review employee performance as outlined in handbook Complete shift documents and reports Effectively communicate with other departments and escalate appropriate issues within their department Assist production staff with TPS meetings and projects. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 3 years experience in direct supervisor. Must have hands-on leadership ability. Possess excellent communication skills Ability to work and lead in a team environment and maintain and encourage positive attitudes Ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety policies and procedures Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools Working conditions Manufacturing environment where Personal Protective Equipment is required. Physical requirements Standing for long periods of time Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally maneuver up to 40 pounds.
