Job Description

Job Summary A Plant Supervisor is a management professional responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a manufacturing or production facility. The role is focused on leading a team of plant workers to ensure production processes are safe, efficient, and meet quality standards and organizational goals. Primary Job Duties
  • Responsible for coordinating and scheduling employee activities, monitoring performance, and conducting training.
  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations and conduct regular inspections to maintain a secure and clean working environment.
  • Perform all duties listed under the Plant Laborer job description.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, meet output targets, and implement quality control procedures.
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and coordinate maintenance and repair activities to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain production and shift records, prepare management reports, and manage department costs.
  • Resolve production and personnel issues promptly and ensure effective communication between staff and management Qualifications and Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment. Hands-on experience as a machine operator or technician is also highly valuable.
  • Strong skills in team management, motivation, and conflict resolution to guide and develop your team effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities are essential for navigating the complexities of plant operations and addressing issues quickly.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for providing clear instructions, training staff, and reporting to management.
  • Solid understanding of production processes, equipment, and quality control principles.
  • Hour flexibility and willingness to work overtime when needed.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field preferred.   • Lift objects up to 50 pounds at one time
  • Able to work in a loud, industrial setting that can be hot, cold, wet, or dusty environment.
