Job Description

Vanguard National Trailer is a premier manufacturer of dry van semi-trailers for North America. We are a growing company looking for a Production Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. This is a second shift position. This position will report directly to the Director of Materials.
Position:
Duties:
Oversee the receipt, inspection, and processing of incoming shipments to ensure accuracy, quality compliance, and timely documentation in the warehouse management system (WMS). Manage and lead the team, including scheduling, training, and ensuring adherence to system protocols, safety, and operational efficiency. Develop and implement efficient processes for unloading, sorting, storing, picking, packing, and delivering products while maintaining data integrity at all stages. Ensure all receipts for incoming shipments and order fulfillments are completed within required timeframes, with accurate data entered into the WMS. Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring proper stocking procedures, real-time system updates, and resolution of discrepancies. Ensure RF scanning technology is utilized during all receiving, picking, packing, and cycle counting processes to enhance accuracy and streamline operations. Reprofile and reorganize storage locations to optimize space utilization, ensuring products are stored based on size, frequency of use, and compatibility, with updates reflected in the system. Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and Plant operations teams to address supplier issues, delivery concerns, and production requirements, ensuring seamless operations and accurate documentation of resolutions. Improve operational efficiency by reviewing pick sheets, delivery locations, and storage layouts, making recommendations for optimization. Ensure warehouse safety and compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining proper documentation for safety checks and audits. Conduct cycle counting based on value and velocity to maintain inventory accuracy, investigating, and resolving discrepancies promptly.

Experience:
  • Warehouse experience a plus.
  • 2 years minimum in warehousing and order consolidation, preferred.
  • 2 years in Supervisory or management position.
Education:
  • Associated Degree prefeed.
