Job Description

About the Role As a Manufacturing Floor Lead, you will serve as the primary driver of operational excellence, overseeing daily production workflows to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a high-performance culture by mentoring staff, optimizing machine uptime, and implementing continuous improvement strategies to exceed production targets. Responsibilities Cultivate a collaborative, accountability-driven environment by providing direct coaching and leadership to production personnel. Maintain a consistent presence on the shop floor to proactively resolve equipment, process, or quality bottlenecks. Champion a safety-first culture by enforcing strict PPE compliance and conducting thorough incident investigations. Maximize throughput by minimizing downtime and streamlining labor utilization across all production lines. Partner with maintenance and quality departments to perform root cause analysis and execute corrective actions. Drive waste reduction and operational efficiency through rigorous process controls and 5S methodology. Accurately document shift performance metrics, including scrap rates, production output, and resource allocation within ERP systems. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity within a manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Valid forklift operator certification and a clean driver's license. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues and utilize ERP software. Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to lead diverse teams. Preferred Skills Experience working with injection molding machinery or similar high-volume production equipment. Background in implementing continuous improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives. Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in a production environment.
