A Production Plant Foreman works with the Plant Manager or Supervisor in scheduling the activities of the employees and team leaders. Meets regularly with the team leaders to communicate anticipated production sequences, to discuss potential production problems, and to provide opportunity for input on improvement of work processes and work flow. Assist in assuring quality and safety of production procedures.
Directs and coordinates day to day production activities in conjunction with company KPIs, leading the hourly associates in obtaining company strategic objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Promotes a safe and accident free work place. Leads a team that operates in a continuous improvement environment to minimize manufacturing cost through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities. Obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered. Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment. Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems. Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality. Revises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems. Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one- year related experience and or training. Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times. Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced professional environment. Must be able to interface with others in a professional manner.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret CST and customer prints and documents. Ability to write routine reports in a professional manner.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole, fractional and decimal numbers.
REASONING ABILITY
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Handle problems involving variables in a standardized situation. Ability to make decisions and know when/where to make concessions.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Advanced level of knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Walk, must be able to move about inside the manufacturing and office and occasionally on a construction site or outside of the manufacturing facility. Use hands/fingers to feel, must be able to operate computers, machinery, dimensional equipment. Sit and stand, must be able to work at a stationary desk that may require sitting or standing. Standing on concrete floor and uneven terrain will be required frequently. Climb and balance, must climb stairs and ladders. Stoop, kneel and crouch or crawl. Talk/hear, must be able to communicate with operators and management frequently and exchange accurate information. Lift and carry weights of 50lbs.
