Job Description

Position Summary:
As a Production Control Supervisor, you will oversee the flow of orders through the production process to ensure timely delivery and maintain accurate inventory records. This role is key to aligning production schedules with business goals while supporting team performance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the production control team to uphold safety standards, quality, customer satisfaction, productivity, and on-time delivery goals. Manage and coordinate all aspects of production planning and scheduling. Perform supervisory duties including timecard approvals, employee performance reviews (90-day and annual), counseling, disciplinary actions, and terminations as needed. Maintain accurate records of safety, production, attendance, performance, and disciplinary actions; report metrics regularly to the Director of Operations. Collaborate with Production Supervisors, Quality Assurance, and Sales teams to ensure order deadlines are met at every stage of the production process. Serve as the primary liaison between sales, planning, production, and management—ensuring clear communication regarding schedule changes or issues. Oversee the organization's inventory system; support improvements to the database and ERP software under the guidance of Purchasing or the Director of Operations. Conduct weekly, periodic, and annual physical inventory audits. Operate a forklift when required.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly CNC machining. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments. Proficiency in inventory control and production planning. Highly organized with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with computerized inventory systems is essential. Background in metalworking or machining environments is preferred. Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is strongly preferred. Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
The role may involve: Periods of sitting and standing. Use of hands and fingers for equipment or computer use. Activities such as kneeling, crawling, twisting, balancing, bending, or climbing. Close-up vision (within 36 inches). Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds with assistance or lifting devices.

This role is performed in a manufacturing environment. $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
