Job Overview The Production Supervisor provides leadership and operational direction to the production staff to ensure daily manufacturing needs are executed efficiently. This role oversees all operations within the production area, managing the routine communication of job assignments, directing daily employee placement, and delivering training for specific product runs. Additionally, the supervisor enforces strict adherence to all company production rules, HACCP protocols, and preventive control steps to guarantee the delivery of safe, high-quality food products.

Job functions:

• Before shift starts inspect the assigned work area for any safety hazards.
• During shift operations continuously observe any potential safety hazards.
• Be observant for employee safety in addition to GMP compliance and make immediate corrections to GMP discrepancies as needed and report them to the supervisor/manager.
• Responsible for ensuring a safe work area to perform this job successfully, employees must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and put safety and food quality as a priority.
• Verify components on work orders to ensure correct number of components/ingredients are available for production.
• Ensure all employees abide by the safety regulations.
• Ensure that all employees are wearing their PPE.
• Responsible for keeping work area clean of any debris.
• Assign work to production employees.
• Train Production employees how to meet the daily productions goals.
• Ensure paperwork for line checks, and quality checks are being conducted.
• Escalate production issues to the Production Manager as needed. Comply with all HACCP/GMP and sanitation and food safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as needed or assigned. Lead structured shift handoffs to pass vital production, safety and quality details and information to the incoming supervisor. Requirements
• Minimum High School Diploma
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing/light industrial environment is highly preferred.
• Must possess excellent written/verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Should be goal-oriented, confident, and able to work well under pressure and succeed within a competitive environment.
• Must be able to work independently and demonstrate effective initiative.
• Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.

Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to work Monday-Friday, or weekends as needed. Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives and box cutters.

Exposure to temperatures:

<32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezers), 38-42 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators). Reliable and punctual. Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Pay:

$52,000.00 - $62,400.00 per year
