Job Description
The Vehicle Processing Engineering (VPE) General Assembly Processing Engineering (GAPE) Core Technologies Launch Supervisor is responsible for leading the development and revision of automotive manufacturing torque tool equipment and processes. The person in this role ensures that standards are implemented and followed in every aspect of the model launch from the project's inception and design all the way through implementation and assembly. The Launch Supervisor will manage General Assy projects, supervise union represented Engineers within UAW contract requirements and satisfy Manufacturing Quality Assurance System requirements. The Supervisor will interface with manufacturing, maintenance, various engineering groups, finance and purchasing. The candidate must possess superior written and verbal communication skills as well as exemplary organizational skills. May cross to other Core groups (Electrical, Alignment). Fastening knowledge preferred.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degreeMinimum of 3 years of experience in General Assembly or equivalentSelf-motivated and works well in a team environmentAbility to interface with both management and labor forcesAbility to work overtime and travel as requiredAbility to lead cross functional teamsProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent communication skills - both orally and in writingProficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and excellent to advanced inEXCELPreferred Qualifications:
