Job Description

Epitec is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for an opportunity with our automotive client in Livonia, MI. As a Warehouse Supervisor, the candidate will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, ensuring safety and quality, and leading a union workforce to meet daily production and inventory targets. This is an ongoing W2 contract with potential for conversion This is an afternoon position (Mon - Fri, 3:30pm - 12am) This position offers $26.30/hour, 10 days PTO, medical/retirement contributions (if desired)
Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day operations of UAW/union workforce within a warehouse/distribution environment Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health & safety standards Manage manpower planning, staffing, and daily workload allocation Oversee inventory control, including cycle counts, aging material, and accuracy checks Monitor WMS and operational KPIs (quality, productivity, attendance, delivery) Lead shift start-up meetings and maintain clear communication with frontline teams Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure process adherence Support continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities Manage employee relations, attendance tracking, coaching, and performance feedback Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth material flow and operations
Qualifications:
Experience in warehouse, distribution, or production operations Prior experience supervising UAW/union employees strongly preferred Proven leadership ability managing hourly teams in a fast-paced environment Strong knowledge of inventory management, quality processes, and operational metrics Ability to work closely with both operations employees and leadership Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Solid business acumen and problem-solving ability High level of self-motivation, emotional resilience, and accountability Ability to multitask and perform in a fully onsite, high-demand environment Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred #INDEPI #LI-RH1
