VP Operations NTF Manufacturing is a small privately owned growing Automotive company located in beautiful Northern Michigan. We manufacture, design, test and assemble OEM filter for a variety of automobiles and industrial off-highway equipment. We are a registered ISO9001/IATF16949 and

company in good standing. We specialize in producing filter products that remove the smallest particles in fluids with modern manufacturing automation. Position Overview The Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor will lead, coach/mentor, and supervise a small team of skilled trades technicians. Your primary goal is to maximize equipment uptime, drive preventative maintenance compliance, reduce emergency downtime, and maintain an uncompromising culture of safety across all production operations. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development Supervise maintenance technicians. Assign work priorities and coordinate activities based on shifting production demands. Foster a positive work culture with effective communication, accountability, and fair conflict resolution.

• Participate in the development of new production equipment & processes. Operational Excellence & Equipment Reliability Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Troubleshoot complex systems including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC automation controls. Drive root cause analysis efforts on critical downtime incidents to permanently eliminate recurring failures. Data driven mentality Manage parts inventory and coordinate with Purchasing to ensure necessary spare components are stocked. Work with automation and manufacturing support companies as necessary. Safety & Compliance conformance - enforce plant safety standards, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols, and OSHA regulations proactively. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to eliminate workplace hazards. Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience in leadership working in an industrial manufacturing, automotive, or heavy production environment. Proven leadership experience supervising maintenance technicians. Strong technical troubleshooting across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Functional working knowledge of PLC logic, vision systems, robots, automation, and industrial controls.

Shift Flexibility:

Readiness to work designated shifts, including occasional overtime or emergency calls as needed to support production. Generally, hours are 7:00am- 4:30pm.

Preferred Qualifications Education:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field; or equivalent practical skilled-trades background.

System Knowledge:

Familiarity with ERP systems, SAP is a plus.

$53K -$61K depending on experience

$53,000.00 - $61,000.00 per year
