Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Night Shift Production Supervisor to lead our production team in a fast-paced secondary aluminum alloy manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for overseeing nightly operations, including rotary and reverberatory furnace melting, aluminum alloy production, ingot casting, and sow casting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of proven leadership experience in a fast-paced production environment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to motivate employees while maintaining a safe, productive, and quality-focused operation. Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead night shift production employees to meet daily production goals and schedules. Oversee the operation of rotary and reverberatory furnaces, including melting, alloying, and metal processing. Manage ingot and sow casting operations to ensure production requirements and quality standards are met. Ensure all production activities are performed safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Monitor production efficiency, equipment performance, metal yields, and product quality. Assign daily tasks, manage staffing, and ensure adequate coverage throughout the shift. Train, coach, and develop employees while maintaining accountability for performance. Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. Ensure proper alloy chemistry, metal handling, and adherence to customer specifications. Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and documentation. Communicate production results, equipment issues, safety concerns, and staffing needs to management and incoming shifts. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production environment. Enforce company attendance, safety, and operational policies consistently. Respond to emergencies and production interruptions while maintaining a safe working environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 3 years of proven leadership or supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment. 1 year experience in aluminum melting, metal processing, foundry operations, or heavy manufacturing preferred. 1 year of hilo experience required 1 year experience of heavy equipment operations, specifically with material handling. No Criminal Record that includes felony theft or a sex crime. Working knowledge of industrial production equipment and manufacturing processes. Able to lift 75 lbs Ability to lead, motivate, and hold employees accountable for performance. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced production environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing production demands. Basic computer skills and the ability to complete production reports and documentation. Ability to work night shift and maintain consistent attendance. Ability to work in a physically demanding industrial environment with exposure to high temperatures. Preferred Experience Experience operating or supervising rotary and reverberatory furnaces. Knowledge of secondary aluminum alloy production and melting practices. Experience with aluminum ingot and sow casting operations. Understanding of alloy chemistry, metal recovery, and production yields. Experience with industrial safety programs, employee training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
SCHEDULE
Production works a 2-3-2 schedule: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on; 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off. Hours are 6pm-6am. With this schedule, one week you work 36 hours and one week you would work 48 hours (routine overtime!) Pay is 22$ an hour with a 1$ night shift incentive!
