A Production Plant Foreman works with the Plant Manager or Supervisor in scheduling the activities of the employees and team leaders. Meets regularly with the team leaders to communicate anticipated production sequences, to discuss potential production problems, and to provide opportunity for input on improvement of work processes and work flow. Assist in assuring quality and safety of production procedures.

Life:
The MMT program is designed to answer the "how, what, and why" of feed manufacturing while providing trainees with learning opportunities and trainings to become successful people leaders. The program is built to follow a detailed training schedule that will guide you through each step of the process at your manufacturing facility. This training is designed to give you hands-on knowledge of job responsibilities, equipment, and materials that are involved in each specific production process. MMTs will be tasked with understanding how production and or program supervisors manage their team, assisting to meet volume goals, maximize yields, and minimize material yield. These responsibilities are accomplished all while ensuring employees follow quality and safety standards.Plant Location Options:

Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in feed science, animal science, ag systems/technology management, industrial engineering, ag business, supply chain operations, agriculture, or related fields of study with an expected graduation date of winter 2026 or spring 2027 Demonstrated leadership in school/academic/industry-related clubs Willingness to relocate for the program and then upon program completion is required Successfully completed the Land O'Lakes internship programProfessional Qualifications:

Exposure to feed mills/manufacturing or general production environment is preferred Agriculture knowledge/background Previous supervisory/leadership roles Salary for this position is $70,000Physical Qualifications:
Working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, you will be walking, standing and engaging in movement throughout the day, and occasionally to frequently be required to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Due to a large variety of job duties (both routine and non-routine), certain duties also may involve, a variety of physical activities including bending, lifting, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms above shoulders and head, standing, working in enclosed areas, climbing stairs or ladders, and operating heavy machinery. The noise level in the work environment can vary but noise is usually low to moderate. You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety gloves, hearing protection, a respirator or dust mask, protective footwear and protective clothing or uniforms. Work may be performed in cold and/or hot temperatures and the environment can be dusty. Physical requirements further include the ability to engage in productive and collaborative communication with co-workers and work may need to be performed during non-standard hours, including nights and weekends. The ability to work overtime will be required. The ability to perform these requirements is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
