Operators/Lead Operators Position Purpose:

The Production Supervisor is responsible to supervise, lead, and ensure quality performance of all cleanroom and testing operations for Manufacturing. This position leads by example and is professional, positive, consistent, and fair with all employees within the cleanroom. The Supervisor focuses on shift-level throughput, workmanship, and the immediate development of the production team to meet daily shipment demands.

Key Responsibilities:

Shift Execution:

Daily, lead the Manufacturing team within the cleanroom and testing area to meet daily shipment demands while meeting all requirements of the quality system

Formal Shift Handoff:

Execute a formal, face-to-face handoff protocol between shifts to communicate machine status, "hot" lots, and staffing changes

Workflow & Resources:

Define work plans and allocate resources according to manufacturing demands

Quality & Documentation:

Ensure the correct inspection, coating, and packaging instructions are followed, and that all documentation requirements for Device History Records (DHR) are met for each lot

Inventory & Traceability:

Manage customer parts, raw materials, and ensures lot separation, line clearance, and traceability procedures are followed

Personnel Development:

Lead and engage with direct reports on hiring, training, and performance-related issues

Communication:

Actively communicate and collaborate throughout the site as required to ensure good planning and execution of all activities

Facility Stewardship:

Ensure the area around assigned machines is kept clean daily, including personal work areas, controlled environments, and testing areas

Equipment Maintenance:

Coordinate machine repairs and maintenance to minimize downtime

Education, Qualifications & Experience:

Associate's Degree in a technical or business field required; Bachelor's Degree in Operations or Engineering preferred Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts and implementation Laboratory or production environment experience requiring high traceability Strong analytical skills to identify problems and draw valid conclusions from data Computer proficiency, specifically in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software

Working Conditions and Health & Safety:

Varying climate-controlled environments, including the production facility, an isolated clean room, and office Business related travel (domestic and international) is required (approximately 10% of time) Employee is required to use appropriate PPE including, but not limited to, nitrile or latex gloves, lab coat, hair bonnet, shoe covers, beard cover, safety glasses, hearing protection, face shield, or respiratory mask while working in a lab or manufacturing space Harland Medical System's commitment to ensure employee health and safety is a priority. Personnel engaged in manufacturing shall obtain training required by

ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR

part 820, FDA 21 CFR part 210 & 211, and Harland Medical System's internal procedures, where deemed appropriate per assigned job functions.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for a prolonged period of time, or stand and walk on level surfaces for a prolonged period of time. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms above shoulder height and below the waist. The employee may be required stoop, kneel or crouch. Using proper lifting techniques, the employee must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include corrected 20/20 vision, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
