About the Job The Production Surface Design Supervisor oversees the Sublimation and Embellishment departments and is responsible for delivering high-quality work that is completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. This role leads and develops production team members, supports continuous improvement, and partners closely with the Production Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure production goals and customer expectations are met. Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and support Production employees within the Sublimation and Embellishment departments, which includes Rhinestones, Sequins/Spangles, Embroidery and Vinyl applications. Oversee day-to-day operations, workload distribution, and workflow within assigned departments. Partner closely with employees to identify issues, implement solutions, and maintain efficient production flow. Collaborate with the Production Manager and other department supervisors to ensure work aligns with overall production schedules and priorities. Coordinate with Customer Service, Design & Development, and Production teams to ensure high-quality results. Assist in developing, documenting, and implementing processes and best practices. Ensure employees follow established processes, quality standards, and QA checks. Identify recurring challenges and support continuous improvement initiatives. Assist in identifying equipment repair needs and ensure equipment is properly maintained. Support communication with vendors and assist with ordering necessary supplies. Onboard, train, and develop new team members. Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews. Lead, motivate, and support the team to achieve departmental and company goals. Takes initiative to support evolving team and business priorities, including additional responsibilities as needed. About You Strong working knowledge of apparel production processes, including sublimation and embellishment. Proven ability to lead teams with confidence, accountability, and a hands-on approach. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy. Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working within multiple software systems and able to quickly learn new tools and processes. Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills using sound judgment. Ability to motivate, coach, and engage team members in a positive and supportive manner. Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred and may be required to effectively perform certain responsibilities of the role. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments. Commitment to continuous improvement, efficiency, and operational excellence. Education and Experience 3+ years of related work experience required. Apparel degree or relevant work knowledge of 2+ years. Decorated Apparel Experience Required (Embroidery, Heat Transfer Applications, or Sublimation) Dance, cheer, or skating background is a great bonus, but not required. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing and sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to stand, bend, and move easily as well as lift up to 40 pounds at times.   • 28 per hour Full-time, Monday-Friday To ensure customer needs are met, this position may occasionally require working more than 45 hours per week, including some weekends, to accommodate business demands and responsibilities.
