Production Supervisor Dell Technologies is ground-breaking at every level: in our design rooms, sales teams, marketing and in our factories. As the primary logistics contact internally, Production Operations steers the daily workflow activities within the factory, managing operations processes and people to achieve a quality output. Focused on achieving the required level of production on an hour-to-hour, daily, monthly and yearly basis, we oversee the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations. To do this, we work with a range of internal teams, including Operations, Logistics, Distribution and IT. What you'll achieve As a Production Supervisor , you will be responsible for leading the 2nd Shift Production Operations Team . You will work with Production Team members and other leaders to achieve success in revenue operations. RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises larger teams with operational focus in an area of functional expertise; may have supervisors or individual contributors as direct reports Held accountable for group's results in terms of costs, strategies and employees. Develops employees through use of mentorship, training materials and performance reviews; first level of management with human resource responsibilities Acts as team member on large projects or may lead smaller initiatives Assists in developing safety, quality and velocity metrics, drives process improvements within their area of responsibility Ensures the development and coordinates training of employees to meet current and future skills needed Develops staffing, equipment and capacity plans to accommodate future workload and products Requirements 5+ years of relevant manufacturing operations experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience Physical ability to operate material handling equipment Solid understanding of production and/or materials operations, planning and forecasting techniques Presentation and problem-solving skills Must be able to work 2nd shift hours (3pm -11pm) Desirable Requirements 4-year degree and Intermediate experience using spreadsheets and other office tools Continuous improvement experience (lean, six sigma) Compensation Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
