How will you make an impact? As a Assistant Shift Supervisor , you will support the Production Supervisor in overseeing daily manufacturing operations. You'll help establish production priorities, coordinate cross-functional activities, and drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across the production floor. What will you do? Assist in setting production and quality control standards in collaboration with management. Gather and analyze data related to product types, quantities, specifications, and delivery timelines. Coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize resource utilization. Review reports to identify and resolve production and quality issues. Support efforts to minimize scrap and MRO (Materials Request Order) usage. Maintain clean and organized workstations and promote operational efficiency. Monitor production metrics and prepare monthly performance reports. Drive improvements in defect rates and overall production quality. Ensure employees understand and follow policies and procedures. Maintain adequate stock of operational supplies and equipment. Monitor SPC (Statistical Process Control) systems and address recurring issues. Compile, store, and retrieve production data for analysis. Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals. How will you get here?
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong understanding of logistics operations and production planning. Ability to analyze data and implement strategies to meet business goals. Financial and analytical skills to support operational decision-making. Knowledge of international logistics and customs regulations is a plus. Proven success in change management and process improvement. Effective communication and leadership skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and email tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in coordinating cross-functional production activities. Familiarity with SPC systems and quality control processes. Background in manufacturing metrics and pe
