Job Description

Production SupervisorPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensure safe and efficient production, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Supervisor will manage a team of operators, coordinate schedules and resources, uphold quality and safety standards, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to optimize processes and meet production targets.



Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and mentor production teams, including scheduling, task assignment, performance coaching, and development.



Manage daily production activities to meet volume, quality, and on-time delivery targets while maintaining cost control.



Implement and sustain Lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement practices (5S, Kaizen, standard work) to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.



Lead problem-solving and root cause analysis for production issues, applying Six Sigma tools where appropriate to reduce defects and variation.



Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations; conduct safety audits and enforce safe work practices.



Coordinate with maintenance and engineering to minimize downtime and support preventive maintenance programs.



Monitor production KPIs (yield, throughput, OEE, scrap rate) and generate regular reports to senior management.



Train and onboard new operators, develop work instructions, and maintain accurate production documentation and records.



Manage inventory levels and materials flow on the shop floor, escalating shortages and coordinating with supply chain as needed.



Support continuous improvement projects, facilitate cross-functional meetings, and implement process changes to increase capacity and quality.



Qualifications3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent leadership experience.



Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement methodology.



Familiarity with Six Sigma concepts and experience applying problem-solving tools (DMAIC, root cause analysis, SPC) is highly desirable.



Strong communication, leadership, and team development skills with a focus on coaching and performance management.



Proven ability to manage production metrics and KPIs, and to use data to drive decisions and improvements.
