Powder Coat Coordinator Charleston Forge - Boone, NC Build Your Career with Charleston Forge Charleston Forge is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coat Coordinator to join our team in Boone, North Carolina. Previous powder coating experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to learn. Position Summary The Powder Coat Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the powder coating operation while ensuring product quality, production efficiency, and on-time delivery. This role works closely with plant management and serves as the primary point of contact for all external powder coating customers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist with loading and unloading the powder coating paint line. Monitor and control oven temperatures to ensure proper curing. Perform powder coating duties as needed to support production demands. Inspect products and coordinate rework of quality issues. Investigate and drive root cause analysis for quality concerns. Print production work orders and boxing labels. Tag completed products and move them to the next operation. Track and report daily production metrics. Coordinate workflow to meet production schedules and customer expectations. Work closely with plant management to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity. Serve as the primary point of contact for all external powder coating customers. Qualifications Previous powder coating experience preferred, but not required. Ability and willingness to learn new skills—we will train the right candidate. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent situational awareness and attention to detail. Computer literacy, including the ability to work with production software and print required documentation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve production and quality issues. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with supervisors and team members. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds . Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
