A Machine Shop Supervisor supervises employees working in a machine shop, including CNC and PLC machining. Requires experience in machining and supervising other machinists. Monitors activities to ensure safety of workers and quality of products. Analyzes job scope and engineering part prints to determine information for finished machined parts. May train new machinists, develop training, work and safety procedures for the shop.

Job Description

Ornamental iron shop specializes in railings, gates, and other architectual metal. We are looking to add a metal craftsman to our team. Great opportunity for the right person. Candidates must be dependable, self motivated, detail oriented and have an excellent work ethic. Fabrication experience is required. Ornamental iron experience is a plus. Carpentry/construction experience may also be helpful.

Daily duties include:

Fabricating from shop drawings
MIG /TIG
welding of steel and aluminum
Use of grinders, saws, benders, drill press, etc.
Installing jobs in the field (when needed)
Misc.

Requirements:

High school diploma/GED
Reliable transportation
Acility to problem solve
Ability to read a tape measure
Welding experience
Hard working / Organized /
