Job Description

About the Role As a Production Operations Supervisor, you will drive excellence by overseeing daily workflows, optimizing equipment utilization, and ensuring high-quality output across processing and finishing departments. You will act as a key technical mentor, guiding your team to meet production targets while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Direct daily production activities and workflow to ensure all customer delivery requirements and schedules are met. Maximize operational efficiency and throughput by monitoring equipment performance and job sequencing. Provide hands-on technical guidance, troubleshooting, and coaching to team members to enhance performance. Maintain rigorous quality control standards by conducting process audits and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate with maintenance and product development teams to streamline equipment repairs and new product integration. Lead team meetings to align on production priorities, safety protocols, and quality expectations. Track and analyze key performance metrics, including scrap rates and downtime, to drive process improvements. Facilitate employee training and cross-training initiatives to build a versatile and skilled workforce. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity within a production environment. Strong background in quality control processes and operational leadership. Proficiency in root cause analysis methods such as 5 Why. Ability to interpret technical documentation, SOPs, and production records. Preferred Skills Experience with continuous improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma. Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects and equipment maintenance schedules. Strong communication skills for effective team development and conflict resolution.
