Job Description

Marvin is seeking a Controls Systems Supervisor to lead a team supporting automated equipment in our manufacturing operations. In this role, you'll oversee the reliability, programming, and troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, drives, and industrial networks to keep production safe, efficient, and stable. You'll coordinate maintenance and improvement projects, develop standards, and mentor controls technicians. Collaborating with engineering, production, and safety, you'll drive continuous improvement and support new equipment installations while modeling Marvin's people-first, craftsmanship-focused culture. Responsibilities Supervise and develop controls technicians supporting manufacturing equipment Oversee programming, troubleshooting, and optimization of PLCs, HMIs, and drives Ensure high reliability and uptime of automated systems through preventive maintenance Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment and controls issues Plan and execute controls upgrades, integrations, and improvement projects Collaborate with engineering, production, and safety to support new equipment and processes Maintain and update electrical and controls documentation and standards Ensure compliance with electrical and industrial safety regulations and best practices Coordinate response to equipment downtime and prioritize work across the team Support training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the controls group Required Skills PLC programming and troubleshooting HMI configuration and support Industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Modbus) Electrical schematics reading and design Motor controls and VFDs SCADA systems Root cause analysis Preventive and predictive maintenance Industrial safety standards (OSHA, NFPA 70 E, lockout/tagout) Project management for controls upgrades
