Position Summary We are seeking a high-performing Production Team Leader to oversee our plastic food container manufacturing and packaging lines. In this role, you will lead daily shift operations, ensure strict adherence to food safety standards, and utilize our Operations Management System (OMS) to optimize efficiency. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills and a solid background in plastics manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities Drive Shift Performance:

Lead daily operations to hit or exceed hourly production targets for plastic food containers while maintaining zero safety incidents.

OMS System Management:

Utilize the Operations Management System (OMS) daily to track real-time production metrics, log shift outputs, monitor line efficiency, and align schedules with customer orders.

Enforce Cleanliness Standards:

Monitor the floor strictly to guarantee 100% compliance with food-grade sanitary requirements, GMP , and 5S workplace organization .

Minimize Material Waste:

Troubleshoot minor machinery faults and identify root causes of plastic defects (such as warping or flashing) to significantly reduce raw material scrap and resin waste. Develop the

Team:

Supervise, coach, and cross-train a crew of 10 to 20+ machine operators and packers on standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications & Experience Plastic Manufacturing Expertise:

Minimum 2+ years of lead or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong operational knowledge of injection molding , thermoforming , or high-speed automation equipment is highly preferred.

Technical Systems Proficiency:

Proven experience working with an Operations Management System (OMS) , ERP software (like SAP or Oracle), or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for data tracking and inventory control.

Food Safety Compliance:

Solid understanding of

GMP , HACCP

, or SQF standards required to ensure all products are completely food-safe.

Leadership Skills:

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and shift-handover coordination skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods on the production floor and lift up to 35-50 lbs.

Pay:

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 48.0 per week
