A Production Plant Foreman works with the Plant Manager or Supervisor in scheduling the activities of the employees and team leaders. Meets regularly with the team leaders to communicate anticipated production sequences, to discuss potential production problems, and to provide opportunity for input on improvement of work processes and work flow. Assist in assuring quality and safety of production procedures.
This position is directly responsible for encouraging, teaching, and reinforcing positive work habits and behaviors. Daily responsibilities for providing on the job instruction, material handling, quality and quantity control. Responsible for general supervision of all production assigned to the work group in a community rehabilitation program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Provide supervision, assistance and training to consumers in order that the production work is performed correctly, and employees training objectives are met. 2. Assign production work to your designated consumer group upon arrival on a daily basis. 3. Adhere to production schedules and assure that production quotas are met. 4. Report all production/consumer activities, issues and concerns to Production Manager or Assistant Production Manager to assure production requirements are being met. 5. Document consumers' production on appropriate production sheets daily and accurately calculate total production and earnings every other Friday. 6. Participate with time studies as needed and as directed so appropriate bidding takes place. 7. Create, participate, and assign structured and purposeful vocational training/down time activities to your designated employees. 8. Participate in case management meetings to discuss any employee related issues such as training techniques, behavior management, goal development, illness, and injury. 9. Perform other duties as directed by the Production Manager or management with regard to production and training activities and consumer services of the CRP. 10. Attend in-service trainings as requested by supervisor and/or administrative staff. The following trainings are mandatory, and therefore, are an employment requirement: Medication, DD Overview, Abuse/Neglect, First Aid, and Crisis Training. 1 1. Provide input into consumer program needs and goals in order to develop functional work and living skills. 1 7. Communicate supplies and material needs to immediate supervisor or designee. 1 8. Communicate consumer needs, issues, and incidents to immediate supervisor or designee. 1 9. Comply with agency, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and CARF policies and procedures. 20. Must be willing to accept varied job assignments, i.e. on-site training, off-site training, production, cleaning and provide van transportation/transportation aide, community and volunteer activities and serve as a backup to job coaching and other centers. This includes accepting job assignment changes. 21 . Commitment to adhering to safe and healthy practices by complying with workplace safety and health policies and procedures. 22. Work harmoniously with all members of the production team fostering a teamwork environment. 23. Perform other duties as directed by the Production Manager or Assistant Production Manager with regard to the production, training activities, and consumer services of the workshop program. 24. Will comply with the agency's Ethical Conduct Policy.

EDUCATION
1. High school diploma or GED. 2. Must have a valid driver's license and driving record in good standing. Category 3-Some exposure to Blood borne pathogens likely on a daily basis. This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers/scanners. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to speak and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position may require lifting and long periods of standing. Travel to Abilities locations will be required. Travel may also be required for certain training events as mandated by the state. You may be eligible for mileage reimbursement.
