Oxbo currently has an opportunity for a Production Supervisor -Assembly .
Overall Responsibilities:
Responsible for management, direction and execution of assembly activities in a multiple-shift manufacturing facility. This position will have responsibility for driving lean initiatives throughout the manufacturing operation.
Duties to include:
managing the production schedule and meeting quality, efficiency, safety, environmental, and cost expectations by performing the following duties personally or in conjunction with supervisors of other areas and subordinate team leads. Responsibilities
  • Manage overall performance within the department (quality, efficiency, attendance, safety).
  • Coordinate and provide training for Leads and shop employees.
  • Create a work environment conducive to positive employee morale/motivation to accomplish performance objectives.
  • Provide constructive feedback/evaluations for direct reports.
  • Communicate with Leads on a daily basis.
  • Communicate daily with other shifts and peers regarding safety, quality, productivity, staffing, equipment, continuous improvement activities.
  • Act as first point of contact for operators in escalation process of problems/concerns.
  • Responsible for driving the creation and improvement of standardized work Audit standardized work of Leads & shop employees to ensure adherence to standard processes and procedures.
  • Establish and share best-in-class manufacturing processes with peers.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture by instilling Plan, Do, Check, Act methodology.
  • Continuously search for improvement and seek to eliminate waste.
  • Lead and execute 5S activities to maintain the area to standard.
  • Develop working knowledge of ERP and SharePoint systems as well as additional software used throughout the production process.
Qualifications Associate's Degree, plus a minimum of five years' experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory Experience Good verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of production techniques, processes, and methods
