A rapidly growing food manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead its maple syrup bottling operation. This high-visibility position oversees daily production, quality, food safety, and team performance while helping build a scalable manufacturing operation with significant opportunity for career growth.
Production Supervisor Responsibilities:
Lead the daily operation of a high-volume bottling line, supervising 5-10 production employees. Manage production schedules, throughput, line efficiency, and equipment utilization. Oversee filling, capping, labeling, coding, packaging, and palletizing operations. Troubleshoot production equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, SQF, sanitation, and food safety standards. Maintain production, quality, and traceability documentation. Train, coach, and develop production employees while building a positive, safety-first culture. Help expand operations from one production shift to two as business growth continues.
Qualifications:
2-3+ years of leadership experience in food, beverage, or bottling manufacturing. Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SQF (or similar GFSI food safety systems). Experience operating and troubleshooting filling or packaging equipment. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a hands-on manufacturing environment. Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience is a plus. Hot-fill liquid bottling experience is highly preferred.
