Manufacturing Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations and provide hands-on leadership to production employees. This position is responsible for ensuring the shift operates safely, efficiently, and productively while maintaining high standards for quality, employee performance, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a strong, dependable leader who is comfortable working directly on the production floor, providing direction to employees, addressing issues as they arise, and keeping the shift focused on safety, quality, and production goals. Key Responsibilities Supervise, direct, and oversee production employees throughout the shift Ensure safe and efficient operation of production machinery and related equipment Monitor production output and address issues affecting productivity Maintain high standards for safety, quality, efficiency, and housekeeping Ensure employees follow established safety procedures and workplace policies Conduct daily safety checks and verify standardized work is being completed Provide direction, support, coaching, and training to employees Promote teamwork, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement Conduct shift meetings and communicate important production and safety information Monitor employee attendance, scheduling, vacation requests, and timekeeping Assist with employee performance reviews Work closely with management and HR regarding employee-related matters Troubleshoot production and quality issues, including non-conforming product Coordinate with maintenance when equipment or process issues arise Complete production reports and other required documentation Prepare end-of-shift reports detailing production plan vs. actual results Ensure proper equipment shutdown procedures are followed Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas Assist with special projects and new equipment/machinery setup as needed Perform additional supervisory and operational duties as assigned Qualifications Previous manufacturing or production supervisory experience required Minimum of 2-5 years of supervisory experience preferred Experience leading and directing production teams Experience coordinating daily plant or manufacturing operations is strongly preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with employees and management Strong leadership and problem-solving skills Ability to provide direction, hold employees accountable, and maintain consistent standards Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent preferred What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: A confident and hands-on leader Safety and quality focused Dependable and organized Comfortable making decisions and providing direction Able to motivate and develop employees Willing to jump in and help the team when needed Able to maintain productivity while creating a positive and accountable work environment Apply today!
