Production Supervisor Empower Manufacturing | Moraine/Dayton, OH Full-time |
On-site Salary:
$70,000 to $90,000 Empower Manufacturing, a client of Brixey & Meyer, is seeking a Production Supervisor to join their team in Moraine/Dayton, OH. The Production Supervisor will help lead daily shop operations in a precision manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is comfortable being present on the floor, supporting employees, solving problems, and taking ownership for production results. Empower Manufacturing was founded in 1978 and produces custom precision shafts to customer blueprint specifications for pumps, motors, wastewater treatment, HVAC, submarine applications, and other industrial uses. The company has two facilities, approximately 65 employees, and a supportive, collaborative, people-focused culture. Empower's values are Support, Find a Way, and Pride in Product. The right candidate will model those values while helping the team meet production, quality, and customer commitments. Production Supervisor Responsibilities Lead, coach, and support production employees on the shop floor Help ensure daily and weekly production goals, schedules, and quality expectations are met Monitor workflow, job priorities, staffing needs, and production progress Support employees with questions, training, troubleshooting, and day-to-day direction Reinforce safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies Hold daily huddles and participate in team lead meetings Communicate with production, scheduling, quality, leadership, and other departments Identify production issues, skill gaps, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities Help develop newer employees and support knowledge-sharing across the team Maintain a positive, accountable, team-oriented work environment Participate actively as a working leader when needed Model Empower's values: Support, Find a Way, and Pride in Product Production Supervisor Qualifications Previous leadership experience in manufacturing, machining, CNC, production, or a related industrial environment Experience leading, coaching, or supervising hourly production employees Strong communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills Ability to keep production moving while managing changing priorities Commitment to safety, quality, accuracy, and customer requirements Comfortable working in a precision manufacturing or job shop environment Ability to read, understand, or work around blueprints, customer specifications, or production requirements preferred Basic computer skills and ability to work with production information, schedules, or manufacturing systems Comfortable working on-site in a hands-on shop-floor environment Team-first mindset with the ability to support, train, encourage, and hold employees accountable The Right Fit The ideal candidate is a manufacturing leader who earns trust on the floor, cares about the people they lead, and takes personal ownership for results. Work Environment This position is based primarily at Empower Manufacturing's Moraine/Dayton, OH location, with occasional support at the company's Miamisburg facility. The role is active, hands-on, and shop-floor based. The production environment is not fully temperature controlled.
